Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie in the popular Sex and the City, and her equally famous actor husband, Matthew Broderick, recently listed theirGreenwich Village townhouse for $25 million.
The star couple searched downtown for years before settling on this property, located at 20 East 10th Street in the Village. According to Streeteasy.com (http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/734420-townhouse-20-east-10th-street-greenwich-village-new-york), they purchased the Greek Revival-style townhome from media magnate Cliff Ng and ex-model Farrah Summerford for $19 million in March 2011, through the Heirloom Trust.
Their 5-bedroom home with its 12’ ceilings and sophisticated security systems is being marketed on the power pair’s behalf by Stephen McRae and Debbie Korb of Sotheby’s International Realty.
Although Ms. Parker has been a regular fixture throughout New York Fashion Week, the actress was also spotted apartment-hunting around town and inBrooklyn. The Daily Mail reported that her main reason for leaving the couple’s dream home is that it didn’t afford enough privacy.
