“Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” sings New Jersey boy, John Bon Jovi. The superstar rocker and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, just relisted their deluxe digs for a cool $42 million, down $3 million from a previous listing in 2011.
In June 2007, the couple paid $24 million for their luxury duplex penthouse at 158 Mercer Street in Soho. The condo building has always attracted the rich and famous. Previous tenants include fashion and design guru Fabien Baron and the late Mark Madoff.
The Bon Jovis’ 7,452-square-foot home is breathtaking from the inside out. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a mirrored fireplace grace the living and dining room space. There are five bedrooms, five full and two half baths plus two kitchens. A master suite was converted to create a study, guest room and much-needed media room.
Three landscaped terraces provide respite and help the owners bounce back from the crush of life on the road. Or should we say, “lost highway”?
